How to use Echo ExchangeTeam

Welcome. Here is the whole thing in order.

1. Add your records

Go to Upload your collection. Search for a record you own, pick the format (vinyl, CD, cassette), and add it. Repeat until your shelf is in.

If a record is not in the catalog, use Add a release — you can search MusicBrainz or enter it by hand — then come back and add your copy. The catalog grows because members add to it.

Each copy can be public or hidden, and you can note its condition and where you got it. Edit any copy from your collection.

2. Build your wantlist

On any album page, hit Want this and choose a format (or "any"). Your wantlist lives at /wantlist and on your profile, and the counts are public so artists can see what people want pressed.

3. Rate and comment

Half-star ratings on the album page, and a comment thread under it. Ratings feed the "Top rated" sort on Browse.

4. Make your profile yours

On your profile page:

• Podium — set your top three records. Gold, silver, bronze.
• Now Spinning — feature a record you own; the art shows as a spinning vinyl or CD depending on how you own it.
• Badge — pick a symbol that shows next to your handle.
• Lists — build ranked, shareable lists ("Essential Reach Records", a year-end top 10, deep cuts).

5. The community

• Feed — what your friends (and everyone) are adding, rating, and posting.
• Forum — start a thread, react, reply. This post is one.
• Inbox — friend requests, direct messages (friends only), and notifications.
• Add friends from anyone's profile.
